Create a dynamic home site that will deliver what prospective undergraduate and graduate students want to know about a university.

We delivered contemporary web design, with content driven by student needs and desires.

Our charge was to reimagine the UC Davis home site as an effective marketing and information tool for prospective undergraduate and graduate students. We launched the site in January 2016.

Our web team worked on several fronts: Analyzing how prospective students find information on our current site; interviewing prospective students, freshmen, graduate students and parents about their web experiences in searching for colleges; and conducting a content audit and analysis of the data to understand how people have been using the site for the past several years.

The new site shows a focus on design, information architecture, writing and graphics that creates a digital experience to better meet the needs of future students and their families.

The site’s metrics reflect its success, showing substantial gains year-over-year:

  • Sessions up 23 percent
  • Users up 19 percent
  • Page views up 30 percent
  • Engagement across the site up 14 percent
  • Engagement to “campus life” section up 313 percent
