Meghan Fredericksen

Meghan is a fourth-year pursuing a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Professional Writing. She serves as president of one of the largest student organizations at UC Davis, Outdoor Crew. She is also a staff member for Whole Earth Festival and a research assistant in the Human Development and Media Lab at UC Davis. She wants to work in Communications, Marketing, or Advertising. Her primary goal is to make her work as meaningful as possible by doing communication work for a company that echoes an important message or stands for something bigger than itself. 

As an Undergraduate Admissions Social Media Intern, Meghan has worked to facilitate UC Davis’s connection with its student body through social media. She developed general content for both Undergraduate Admissions Instagram and UC Davis TikTok. Meghan has led the Labs to Lives mini series advocating for federal research funding, managed the official UC Davis discord server, and won a bronze EduAd Award for the creation of the UC Davis TikTok’s most viewed video to date. 

Hobbies I enjoy in my free time

I love to hike/camp with my friends in 'Outdoor Crew at UC Davis' on the weekends, rock climbing, and live music and seeing all my favorite artists in concert. 

If I could be any animal

I would be an orca because I am fascinated by the ocean.
